The primary standard governing towbar manufacturing is the Australian Design Rule 62/02 (ADR 62/02), part of the Australian Design Rules (ADRs) dedicated to vehicle safety and emissions.

Our towbars meet the key requirements outlined in ADR 62/02, including load capacity, mounting points, tongue design, electrical connections, labeling, and compliance markings. Each towbar is designed and manufactured to handle specific loads based on the vehicle's Gross Trailer Mass (GTM) and the towbar's class rating.

Vehicle: GWM CANNON XSR UTE Towing Capacity: 3000kg / 300kg Fitting Kit: 6x 120 x 12mm Bolts & flange nuts. 2x 80 x 12mm Bolts star and flat washers. 2x D-Shackles. 2x Towbar Rating Labels.

1. Remove silver bumper holding bolts ( 3 either side of chassis).

2. Remove 13 pin Euro style plug bracket (bolted pass side). Then remove bracket completely from plug, Discard bracket.

3. Fit towbar into position, aligning side plate holes with bolts removed.

4. Fit 120 x 12mm bolts (3 either side) do not tighten at this stage.

5. Fit 80 x 12mm bolts to centre Towbar support tags, Which will align with centre crossmember holes.

6. Tighten all bolts.

7. Fit 13 pin Adapter supplied to 13 pin plug on vehicle. Cable tie 13 pin plug up behind tow hitch then fit 7 pin flat plug to bracket supplied.

8. Apply Towbar Rating Labels to driver’s side door sill and non-removable part of the towbar.
